This Friday, join us for a late-night edition of Tailor-Made at the Burritt Room in the Crescent Hotel in Union Square starting at 9PM. NO COVER!

DJs C3PLOS and Major Sean team up with DJ Selector Kirk Harper to bring you a night of soul, r&B, garage, freakbeat, brit-pop, revival sounds, ska, and modern retro soul. We’ll be playing our interpretations of ‘mod’ music from the 1960s to NOW!

Tomorrow night, the Nick Rossi Trio returns to their new weekly gig at San Francisco’s newest lounge, The Burritt Room, on the 2nd floor of the Crescent hotel at 417 Stockton.
Nick Rossi (guitar), Smith Dobson (vibraphone), and Eric Markowitz (bass) bring you 3 sets of classic, swingin’ jazz.
No cover/no minimum.
Plus Carlos on the decks spinning jazz, funk, and soul in between sets and well into the evening.

Then, Friday night at the Triple Crown (1760 Market Street @ Octavia) is ‘Soul: It’s the Real Thing’! Think of it as IN’n'OUT meets MR. FIVES meets SWEATERFUNK for a history of Modern Soul from ‘67 forward featuring underplayed Soul, Boogie, Acid Jazz & New Luxury Soul. Opening Night Friday June 4th, 2010 with Vinylrichie,The Selecter Dj Kirk and special guests C3PLOS aka Carlos Perez (Soundscape) and George Crowe (Butter/Soulvation).

This Thursday, come out and enjoy your Happy Hour at The Make-Out Room! DJ C3PLOS will be teaming up with DJ Major Sean from PHONOGRAM to play interpretations of ‘Mod’ music throughout the years, from the 1960s to today. Expect a fun, silly romp through a selection of soul, r&b, jazz, ska, freakbeat, Carnabypop, ’70s/’80s revival, 2-Tone, ’90s brit-pop, acid jazz, and today’s ‘Mod’-influenced acts and ‘retro’ soul performers! (Whew, that’s a lot, but we got 4 hours!)
